Principal Consultant
Abidemi Adebamiwa is the founder and principal consultant of ABT Investment & Consulting LLC, a global-facing public policy, governance, and strategic advisory firm headquartered in Pleasanton, California.
He is a scholar-practitioner whose work spans public-sector reform, international political economy, cross-border finance, and development strategy. His professional focus lies at the intersection of policy design, institutional governance, and practical implementation across both emerging and developed markets.
Abidemi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Intelligence, graduating cum laude. He later earned graduate degrees in public policy & administration and law, receiving advanced training in institutional design, policy analysis, and regulatory frameworks. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in political science and international politics, with research focusing on governance, development finance, and institutional reform.
His professional portfolio spans Africa, Asia, and North America, where he has contributed to policy and investment initiatives, including infrastructure financing models, rural electrification strategies, sub-sovereign reform programs, and governance-focused advisory engagements. He has also participated in civic and democratic accountability initiatives within local government institutions in the United States.
Abidemi is a founding board director of the BIPOC Foundation, an organization that received a three-year $2.6 million federal investment announced by the Government of Canada in February 2022 to advance entrepreneurship development, accelerator programming, and access to capital for Black-owned businesses. In this capacity, he contributed to institutional governance, strategic oversight, and early-stage organizational development.
Earlier in his career, he served as finance director at a Nigerian commodities and refined petroleum trading firm, where he supported multimillion-dollar oil derivatives and downstream petroleum trading transactions, contributing to financial coordination and trade structuring for international energy markets.
He has also supported capital-raising efforts for a West African airline, facilitating investor engagement, stakeholder coordination, and strategic alignment necessary for operational sustainability and expansion.
In addition, Abidemi has conceived and led two high-level investment and policy conferences that convened senior government officials, American investors, and international private-sector stakeholders. These forums included participation from U.S.-based investment groups and representatives affiliated with the Corporate Council on Africa, creating platforms for dialogue on cross-border investment, development finance, and public-private partnerships.
Alongside his advisory work, Abidemi is a widely published governance and policy commentator, writing on issues such as public finance discipline, infrastructure reform, accountability, and institutional legitimacy.

Donald Burley
Investment Partner & Senior Advisor, International Strategy
Donald Burley serves as Investment Partner and Senior Advisor for International Strategy at ABT Investment & Consulting LLC, bringing more than three decades of experience in international business development, strategic partnerships, and cross-border investment advisory.
Over the course of his career, Don has worked at the intersection of government, global business, and emerging markets, supporting U.S. companies seeking to expand internationally. His expertise includes facilitating strategic market entry, supporting debt and equity financing initiatives, and advising organizations operating within complex regulatory and multilateral environments. His work has spanned sectors such as energy, housing development, commodity trading, and international commerce.
Don has developed extensive experience in West Africa, particularly Nigeria, where he has cultivated long-standing relationships within both the public and private sectors. His engagement in the region began through business partnerships in the oil industry and was later formalized during his tenure as government liaison for Madison Energy, where he played a key role in establishing Madison Energy Nigeria Ltd. He continues to advocate for responsible international investment in the region, encouraging partnerships that support sustainable economic development and community-based growth.
In addition to his private-sector experience, Don has been involved in U.S. political and governmental initiatives. He has contributed to grassroots mobilization and “Get Out The Vote” operations for major American political campaigns and served on the White House Advance Team supporting presidential events. During his tenure with Primaris Airlines, Boeing’s first U.S. airline customer for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, he also provided consulting support to the White House Press Corps.
Drawing on his experience in both government and business networks, Burley later helped assemble the sales and outreach team for the U.S. Export Yellow Pages, a public-private partnership initiative developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce to promote American products and services in international markets. The publication became widely recognized as a global export promotion resource and was credited with helping increase international visibility for U.S. businesses.
At ABT Investment & Consulting, Don focuses on identifying strategic investment opportunities, supporting international partnerships, and advising on initiatives that connect U.S. capital with high-potential markets, particularly in Africa and other emerging economies. Don holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware.

Ibrahim Muhammad Dangote
Senior Advisor, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
Ibrahim Muhammad Dangote is a business development and relationship management professional with over 10 years of experience spanning corporate engagement, product development, and entrepreneurial ventures. His work focuses on stakeholder engagement, market expansion, and execution support within emerging markets, with strong local insight and engagement capacity across Northern Nigeria.
He currently serves as a Principal Relationship Officer at Dangote Cement Plc, where he manages key client relationships and supports business development initiatives within a large-scale industrial environment.
He also brings experience in product development and brand strategy, having held roles including Creative Design Manager at Vattan Clothing, Product Design Manager at Abbtex, and Product Manager at MLK Fashion Empire.
In addition, he has led entrepreneurial ventures in the energy sector, serving as Managing Director of Tamilco Gas & Oil Nigeria Limited.
At ABT Investment & Consulting LLC, Ibrahim provides senior advisory support on business development, stakeholder coordination, and strategic partnerships, particularly in engagements that require strong local insight and execution guidance within emerging markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Geography) from Bayero University, Kano.

Abdulfatah, Khalid Aminu
Senior Advisor, Infrastructure, Asset Management & Operations
Khalid Aminu Abdulfatah is an infrastructure and asset management professional with over a decade of experience spanning construction, engineering supervision, and large-scale institutional asset oversight. His work sits at the intersection of infrastructure delivery, facilities management, and operational coordination across both public and private sector environments.
He previously held senior asset and operations management responsibilities at First Bank of Nigeria Plc (Head Office), where he oversaw institutional assets and general services operations across multiple states in Northern Nigeria, including Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Yobe, Borno, Sokoto, and Zamfara. In that capacity, he managed asset custody, infrastructure maintenance, property acquisition support, lease coordination, and regulatory compliance across a broad regional footprint.
Khalid brings strong technical expertise from his background in engineering and construction, having served as a Site Engineer at Constructi Proacti Ltd and as a Chief Site Engineer at Abdulafatah Int. Ent. Nig. Ltd / Transmak Nigeria Ltd, where he supervised major construction and renovation projects, including judicial and institutional facilities. His responsibilities included site execution, structural coordination, workforce supervision, and adherence to design and regulatory standards.His professional foundation also includes hands-on experience in project execution, contributing to construction activities ranging from site clearing and foundation works to full structural delivery and technical team supervision.
At ABT Investment & Consulting LLC, Khalid provides senior advisory support on infrastructure development, asset management systems, and project execution strategy, particularly in engagements involving public infrastructure, institutional assets, and facilities oversight within emerging markets.
