ABT Ride is operated by ABT Investment and Consulting LLC. This policy explains how we handle personal information when riders and drivers create accounts, request rides, complete trips, and contact support.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, telephone number, and account identifier. Driver information includes vehicle details, registration plate, and driver availability.
When you use ride features, we collect pickup and destination addresses, location coordinates, ride status, route distance, estimated duration, fare, and trip timestamps. We also record payment status and acknowledgments, account-deletion requests, and information you provide when reporting a problem.
Location information
ABT Ride requests location permission to identify pickups, show nearby drivers, and update driver locations during ride activity. Drivers must enable location to use online and active-trip features.
The app requests foreground location permission. Denying or disabling location may prevent ride features from working. Location information already recorded for a trip may remain in its trip records.
How we use information
We use information to manage accounts, connect riders and drivers, provide maps and routes, maintain trip histories, record payment status, address safety concerns, respond to support requests, and process account-deletion requests.
Sharing and service providers
Relevant ride details are shared with the rider and assigned driver so they can complete the trip. Trip-sharing features may make selected trip information accessible to anyone who has the sharing link. Share these links only with people you trust.
ABT Ride uses Google Firebase for authentication and database services, and Google Maps, Places, and routing services for location and navigation features. These providers process information needed to deliver their services under their own privacy terms.
Authorized support personnel may access information when handling account requests, trip disputes, or safety reports. We may disclose information when required by law.
Payments and payment testing
In the current release, riders pay their drivers directly, and ABT Ride records the ride’s payment status. ABT Ride does not collect or store payment-card details through this direct-payment process.
Development builds may include Paystack test checkout and simulated cash-payment features. These tests record payment references, test payment status, and commission calculations. Test transactions do not collect real money or make driver payouts. Paystack processes information entered on its checkout pages under its own privacy terms.
Data retention and account deletion
We retain information needed to provide the service and maintain trip records. You can request deletion through the app’s Account menu or by emailing support@abticonsulting.com.
A request does not immediately delete your account. We may need to verify that you own the account before processing it. We will explain any records retained to meet legal obligations or resolve outstanding trip disputes or safety issues.
Security
We use access controls and service-provider security features to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your login credentials private and contact support if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Your choices
You can manage location permission through your device settings and request account deletion through the app or support. Contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
